Thursday, April 11, 2013
Today
Mostly cloudy, highs between 45-50. Slight chance of rain during overnight hours. Overnight lows in the mid 30's. NE wind 5-10 mph.
Friday
Rain, being heavy at times, lasting throughout the day, eventually tapering off by evening hours. For higher elevated areas in Worcester County, there is a window of opportunity for you to see some sleet. Highs in the low 40's. Overnight lows in upper 30's. Winds from the E at 10-15 mph.
Saturday
Some clearing expected in the morning, which can turn out to be a nice day for some, so going with partly cloudy, and temperatures between 55-60. NE wind 5-8 mph. Overnight lows 33-37.
Sunday
Mostly sunny, with highs 45-50. NW winds 5-10 mph. Overnight lows in the low to mid 30's.
Marathon Monday
Mostly sunny. Monday morning should be in the mid to upper 30's with a warmup to mid 50's by early afternoon, and even spots in the low 60's further inland. Dew points will be in the mid 30's which makes for an excellent running day. Light winds.
What's ahead?
Temperatures look fairly seasonable for the next couple weeks. Early next week looks nice, both temperature, and precipitation-wise. There is still lots of uncertainty in regards to temperatures next week. GFS is going with a seasonable trend, where the Euro is hinting at a possible torch on Tuesday (temperatures in the mid to upper 60's, and cannot rule out the possibility of at least 70 in some areas), whereas the GFS keeps us in the mid 50's. It all comes down to the placement and timing of a backdoor cold front that is expected to move through. Will know more as new guidance comes in.
